Let's just start with a picture......

That picture, that moment, is one of the most memorable of my life!
The man I have called mine for many years, the man who has supported me and helped me grow, who has pushed me to better myself has now signed himself up to be Mr Selfie pod!
It was a week after my 39th birthday, and I knew we were heading off somewhere for a few days. I had to pack for all the weathers I was told, and I had to pack a nice dress too.
And thats about all I knew.
I love Wales, its so underated. The mountains, the coast, the peace and quiet in the right places, and this was truly peaceful.
A Log cabin, on its own lake, miles from anywhere is about as perfect as it can get for me. We both love a spot like this, away from the world (and photo booths), where you cook on an open fire, can soak in a wood fired hot tub and a sky full of stars, although these few days were a tad chilly!

The day of the proposal, we headed off to Zip World and enjoyed the thrill of the longest or fastest one in the UK (i cant remember which it was), followed by some fine coffee and some food in a rural spot on the drive back to our cabin.
Now, on our arrival at the cabin the first day, I had been convienently told that an AirBnB photographer would be around at some point the next day to capture some fresh images. Slightly odd I thought, but with that it slipped from my mind.
And here we were, the next day, back from our adventures at Zip World, and now my instructions were clear, get dressed up, look great, we are off out somewhere fancy. Lovely.

And so as the daylight just started to fade, a photographer appeared. The man of my dreams suggested that we ask her to capture a few pics of us looking nice before we headed out.
And with that, the heavens opened! But a photo was a must, and so we stepped outside on to the edge of the lake. And before I knew it, there was my wonderful man, down on one knee asking a question I have dreamed of since I was a little girl, asked by a man I love and respected.
It was of course a YES, and a big one at that!
Now, being a bit far from anywhere, we were all dressed up for nothing really, all a bit of a ploy as Daniel knew I would like to be looking great in some photos, there was truly no where fancy to go.
So after a few poses, we changed into jeans and jumpers, and headed out for a lovely pub meal, some wine and warm fireplace.
Honeslty, it was like he read my mind. I like being dressed up, but I love my comfy clothes and non-pretentious food.

So, I will now, after 39 years on this Earth, Miss Selfie Pod is finally getting married and I find myself in the shoes of so many of my wonderful clients.
Venue hunting, dress shopping, chatting to florists, checking out great local bands and magicians and more.
I might even know a photo booth company that can help me!

Now, over a week later, its back real life, but in a world with the love of my life stood by my side more than ever.
Soppy blog over
